THE VALLEY OF GODS... Har ki dun is a cradle-shaped valley at a height of 3566 meters located in the western Himalayas The trek goes along with the supine river to the har ki dun. This is one of the beautiful trekking destinations for trekkers. This region is surrounded by green Bugyals. this trek is famous because one can enjoy trek during winter as well as summer. Har ki Dun is known as a valley of gods because Pandavas took the same route to ascend heaven via Swargarohini (the mountain that dominates the Har ki dun valley).

Short Itinerary

Day 1 - Haridwar/Dehradun to Sankri
Day 2 - Sankri to Osla via Taluka (11Km easy Trek)
Day 3 - Osla to Kalkatiyadhar (7Km Trek)
Day 4 - Kalkatiyadhaar to Har-ki-dun & back (10km Trek)
Day 5 - Kalkatiyadhaar to Ghangar (11km Trek)
Day 6 - Ghangar to Taluka trek (7km Trek) and drive to Sankri
Day 7 - Sankri to Dehradun/Haridwar

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Haridwar/Dehradun to Sankri

long Scenic drive from Haridwar/Dehradun Sankri via Barkot, Purola, Mori, Netwar along the Tons River it’s 240 km that is around a 10-hour journey. We will do a night stay in Sankri.

Meal - Dinner


Day 2: Sankri to Osla via Taluka (11Km easy Trek)

After having breakfast in the morning we will drive Sankri to taluka in the cab. Taluka is the starting point of the trek. From Taluka, we will do a trek towards the next campaign site that is Osla village. This trek is around 15kms and it will take approximately 5-7 hours. During this trail, we will pass through a thick forest of chestnuts, walnuts, willows, chinars, and a variety of conifer trees, and few waterfalls. By late afternoon we will reach Osla village. This village is famous for its exceptional architecture and the most striking of the Durtodhana temple. We will do a night stay in Osla village.

Day 3: Osla to Kalkatiyadhar (7Km Trek)

From Osla village we will do a hike of 15 minutes then will enter into the first series of cleared lands. This trail ascends over the confluence of Supin and Ruinsara rivers to a vantage point. As we will reach to vantage point we will be clearly able to see Kala Nag (Black Peak) and Bandarpooch ranges. Then will reach to flat piece of land and that will be our next campsite it’s known as a Kalkatiyadhaar, at 8,956 ft.

Day 4: Kalkatiyadhaar to Har-ki-dun & back (10km Trek)

-While hiking from Kalkatiyadhaar to Har-ki-dun we will see The meadows of Dev Thach on the right side. At this point, the valley separates into two Har-ki-dun on the left, and Ruinsara Taal, Bali pass on the right. After seeing the amazing view of har ki dun peak and Hata peak we will move further. On this trail will come across multiple streams, The pine forest has a sizable number of rhododendron trees, Himalayan alpine flowers. After another 20 minutes, we will reach a small waterfall. After doing steep climbing of around 15 minutes we will be able to see two valleys opening it is kalkatiyadhaar. The valley towards your left is going to Maninda Taal and Borasu Pass and the other, to Jaundar Glacier. We will do night camping in Kalkatiyadhaar.

Day 5: Kalkatiyadhaar to Ghangar (11km Trek)

We will head back to the Seema by the same route but here the trail is downhill and easy one we will Reach Seema campsite and overnight stay will be there.

Meal - breakfast, lunch, and dinner.


Day 6: Ghangar to Taluka trek (7km Trek)

Ghangar to Taluka is an easy descent trek. From taluka will get transport and we will start our road journey to Sankri. There will stay in Hotel.

Meal - Breakfast, and dinner.

Day 7: Sankri to Dehradun/Haridwar

From Sankri we will go back to Dehradun/Haridwar.

Meal - Breakfast.

  • Transportation support on Traveller, Ertiga, or Innova (depending on the size of the group) throughout the journey.

  • All meals (vegetarian), including everything from lunch on Day 1 to lunch on Day 6.
